I’ve been putting the finishing touches on my mantle (it’s still got a little ways to go) and while browsing Pinterest I came across the classic, cinnamon ornaments – the first and only time I made those was at a friends house 24 years ago. We made little ornaments in various Christmas shapes and oh how we loved them, my sister and I. The boxwood garland that I showed you a few weeks ago is something that I am planning on leaving up all year long so I wanted to add something for an extra touch of festivity.
With the “cinna dough” (I used this recipe) I made “cinna-men” (I use this cinnamon) medallions with a jar lid and mini gingerbread man cookie cutter and made holes with a skewer on either side near the men’s hands. Using baker’s twine I looped it through the holes and tied it off. While I will probably go back and add some wool pom poms, I added some cheap red poly pom poms on the ends of the garland for now…it just needed something.
I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and enjoyed some good food and good times.
