Decorating Cork Coasters

Today, I was informed that Valentine’s is a “heart holiday” therefore we don’t have school. Yeah right! Ha! We are having a Valentine’s party and we are still doing school work. I have to say I am very proud of myself though, I got ALL of the Valentine goodies made last night instead of trying to do them 1 hour before the party! It kinda makes you feel like a failure when you try to make half a dozen things that you never made before in one hour, the hour before a party. When you figure out what the problem is, it’s like magic! :)

Here is an updated version of painted cork coasters for gifting to your girlfriend, coworkers etc.

Me and Little Man have been having a good time doing crafts for Valentine’s: making wax sun catchers, pom pom garlands and painted cork coasters. Little Man’s favorite has been the coasters, they’re super easy and you can do just about anything to them or just keep it simple. The “coasters” are actually the cork trivets from Ikea which we use as trivets and coasters. I like the larger size of them so when all the condensation builds up and I don’t wipe it up it doesn’t spill off onto the furniture. I know they have the cork coasters with the raised lip, but I haven’t taken the time to seek them out so for now it’s me and the trivets. So have a looksee and checkout our artistry:

Little Man’s creation for Valentine’s

We just used Target’s washi tape as it sticks quite well, foam brushes and acrylic crafts paints. We spent about 20 minutes doing these 5 coasters and had a nice time, Little Man had a good time because “it was fun” and I had a good time because it was easy to do and clean up! YAY! So there you have it! I hope you all have a great Valentine’s Day today! Until next week!

These are absolutely awesome… and super creative! Doesn’t it always feel good to get crafts done the night before? I’m hoping I can get everything done like that before the Bunco party I’m hosting in a few days… we’ll see how that all goes. Wish we were neighbors and you could be over here motivating me! Have a great rest of your week, Heather! You’re great!

Hey there! I just wanted to ask if you ever have any trouble with hackers?
My last blog (wordpress) was hacked and I ended up losing several weeks of hard work
due to no data backup. Do you have any solutions to stop hackers?
