Last night we had our counter template done, so we’re one step closer to having a functioning kitchen again, but it’s still a little ways away! I had thought about waiting until the work was done to start decorating for fall however, my heart got the better of me and I started pulling out my fall decor! As I put things in their places, I started noticing that the poppy centerpiece, was sticking out like a sore thumb, so I rummaged through my flower stash and decided to give these peach cabbage roses a try. I was pleasantly surprised that they worked amid the antlers and when I threw in the white painted pumpkins, they looked like they were meant to be.

To make this centerpiece, is was very easy just like most of my coffee table centerpieces. To make, I used an oversized hob nail mixing bowl, a pair of antlers hung on the side of the bowl and several peach colored cabbage roses (I think these are the same flowers, but I’m not sure – the flower style is definitely the same, but the color may be different) resting over the edge of the bowl. I tucked the white pumpkins beside the bowl and even though they’re not “part” of the centerpiece, being right next to the bowl helps pull everything together.

I love how simple and elegant this centerpiece is, it literally took me 10 minutes to put together.

Are you getting ready for fall, or is it too early just yet?

I am antsy to start but am TRYING to hold off for awhile:) Love your centerpiece, are the flowers real?? If so they are gorgeous. I kinda don’t think they are as they are all the same size:) Love them with the antlers and love the whole vignette with the stone fireplace in the background!

For impromptu arrangement came out really nice. Sometimes it’s good to just wing it, go for it and things turn out maybe better than too much planning. For me has pretty much been best way but am not a planner, envy people that are but guess is why we’re all different. Drives my hubs crazy as he’s a planner down deep. Your flowers are really pretty, did you make those? Go so well with white pumpkins and casual position of antlers, contrasts keep things interesting.
Am not ready for Fall decorating at all, needs to get cooler for me. Is still pretty hot here from day to day and hubs gets grumpy if I get Fall stuff out too early. Have much to do cleaning out my sewing room and studio which should keep me busy for while yet then some sewing want todo. Have wonderful weekend.

Thank you JaneEllen! Oh I know, I feel that most of my impromptu projects come out much better than the ones I plan and plan! No sadly I don’t think I could manage to make faux flowers! :D I am ready for it to get chilly out, so it really feels like fall! Same to you JaneEllen!
