Make these cute little DIY glitter farm pets an alternative to Easter candy this year! Watch your kid's eye sparkle when they open their eggs to find toys!I really like glitter, in fact I love it so much it doesn’t entirely bother me when it’s every where…I don’t like the mess, but hey it’s glitter, it’s as good as gold…almost! I bought some teeny tiny and I do mean tiny, farm animals meant for railroad scenery a while back – I had saved them to make Easter snow globes, but I decided to make glitter farm pets as an alternative to Easter candy!

Glitter
Mini plastic pets
Craft paint to match glitter choices
Artist’s brush
School glue watered down half and half in a spray bottle

Once paint is dry, give the animals a spritz with the watered down school glue to help it stay put. Allow to dry one last time and now you can fill Easter eggs with the fun glitter pets!

We limit candy at our house so Little Man will be excited when he sees what the Easter bunny fills his eggs with this year…isn’t it funny that the Easter bunny gets all the credit for something he didn’t do?

Love these little creatures! I made several (larger) glitter deer for Christmas.. but now I’m digging these tiny critters! I may just have to make a little lamb! Thanks for the idea!
