I wanted to add a little freshness around the house, but I wanted something that lasted a little longer than real flowers. I am a sucker for real flowers, but my favorite flower haunt’s prices went up 50% this year! Yikes! I stopped in at the craft store and picked up 11 peony stems and a little fern pick. To create the spring peony centerpiece, I simply cut the peonies to fit inside the white hobnail bowl that I use on the coffee table. I tucked in a few of the leaves from the peonies and split the fern pick up. I hung the antlers over the side of the bowl to give all the soft feminine touches a bit of masculinity.
It’s a nice to walk into the living room every morning to greeted by the cheeriness of the bright peonies! I bought the flowers and fern pieces at Michael’s and the bowl is from HomeGoods, the sweet bun is an ornament I picked up from Anthropologie after Christmas.
