I’ve been putting this off and putting it off, but I’m getting ready to change over to a full fledged spring mantel so I figured it was about time to share it! I kept the colors in the transitional winter to spring mantel completely neutral in anticipation for the extra color I will be using in my spring mantel. About a month ago we made this fun pom pom wreath and this pom pom maker made some very nice pom poms – I actually resisted buying it, but I wasn’t satisfied with the results by hand or by fork whether by land or by sea… ;) oh so funny. I planted a pot of Erlicher Narcissus and they’re coming up nicely.
I have some extension cords on the mantel and I haven’t figured out how to disguise them, so I am using a scarf for the time being. I took the lantern house from the hearth and placed it on the mantel and tucked candles and votive holders around randomly. I also added some of the rabbit ornaments and strung up some star LEDs…I can’t get enough of those!
I kept the pom pom garland up and added my massive geode – I gave the other half to my dad who also love rocks…it’s like a unique friendship rock! I filled the dough bowl with ranunculus, a stoneware heart, some of the evergreen garland from my Christmas tour, and even more LED fairy lights!
I’m loving the transitional mantels, it allows me to redecorate between seasons and I don’t get that itch to change EVERYTHING around the house anymore!
